PASTOR FRED A. GRAY

Rev. Fred A. Gray is currently the Pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Prattville, AL where he has served as a Senior Pastor for forty-six years.  Pastor Gray currently lives in Montgomery, Alabama.  His home town, is Louisville, Alabama which is of Barbour County.

Rev. Fred A. Gray has a strong ministerial background.  Starting as a young adult, he became active in ministry-Pastor’s Visitation of the Sick-while serving at Antioch Baptist, Church Canton, Ohio under the leadership of the Late Rev. W.C. Henderson.  He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in October, 1975 by the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. James Nuckles.  In January 1977, he was ordained by the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. James Nuckles.

Pastor Gray started his formal ministerial studies immediately after being called to serve as Pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Prattville.  He pursued and attained a Master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.  His focal ministries within the church are Evangelism training and Leadership training with the Deacons’ ministry and Leadership training with ministers and pastors in the Autauga County and Surrounding areas.

For as his Post-Secondary Education, Pastor Gray earned an AA degree from Alabama Christian College, Montgomery, Alabama.  He continued his education at Auburn University at Montgomery and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.  He worked as a Regional Coordinator for the Department of Youth Services for thirty years.

Pastor Gray is married to his wife, Shirley, and they have two adult children, Diana and Cory.
